MARGOT KIDDER Shown in a still from the film Trenchcoat Photograph signed: "Margot Kidder". B/w, 10x8. Captioned in lower margin. Shown with David Suchet in movie still from Trenchcoat. © 1982 Buena Vista Distribution Co., Inc.  Canadian-born actress Kidder (1948-2018) is best known for her role as Lois Lane in four Superman films with Christopher Reeve: Superman: The Movie (1978), Superman II (1980), Superman III (1983) and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987). "Can You Read My Mind?", composed by John Williams with lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, was the theme song of the first movie in the series. Kidder recited the lyrics, which were later released as a hit single by Maureen McGovern. Kidder, who made her film debut in 1969 in Gaily Gaily, has appeared in a number of feature film, including Chicks With Sticks (2005) and Halloween 2 (2008), with two new films in production as of mid-2010. Her many TV appearances include James Garner series, Nichols. She returned to the Superman theme by appearing (as another character) in two episodes of TV's Smallville (2004). Slightly worn at edges. Lightly soiled in lower margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
