Autograph Sentiment signed: "Sincerely/Marguerite Clayton", 2¾x3½ segment of a postcard, with magazine photo attached (2 surfaces). Silent film star Marguerite Clayton (1891-1968)made the first of her more than 60 Westerns with Broncho Billy Anderson in 1909. Westerns remained her specialty throughout her career, but she could play dramatic and vamp roles too, as implied in the affixed image. She was the heroine requiring rescue in the Fox serial Bride 13 (1920). After starring in Inspiration (1928), she retired from the screen, never appearing in a talking film. Lightly soiled. Lightly frayed at right edge. Slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
