Index card signed by actor Mari Aldon with her "Bestest"
Inscribed Signature: "To Jim/Bestest/Mari Aldon". Typed notations
above and below signature. Blue ink notations on verso. 5x3 card. According to
the notations on verso, Aldon signed this card on June 19, 1953. Canadian-born
Aldon (1925-2004) was a ballet dancer before appearing in 1946's The
Locket. She appeared in almost 40 movies and TV shows between 1946 and 1966
and was a leading lady during the early to mid-1950s. Her marriage to
director and screenwriter Tay Garnett ended her movie career, but she continued
to make numerous TV guest star appearances. Lightly toned and creased. Pen
skipped in places while writing signature, which is legible. Discoloration in
top right corner, which touches signature. Lightly rounded, creased and worn
corners. Lightly dented top edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
