On letterhead of The Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare addressed to Jesse P. Wolcott, President of Capital Properties, Inc. Washington D.C. In Full: "I was quite interested to learn of your new connection with Capital Properties, Inc. I certainly hated to see you leave Congress but I wish you all sorts of success and happiness in your new connection. I hope to see you one of these days. With kind regards and best wishes, Sincerely yours," Marion Bayard Folsom (1893-1976), a World War I veteran, was the longtime Treasurer of Eastman Kodak Co. (1935-1953). He was President Eisenhower's Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare from 1955 to 1958. Jesse Paine Wolcott (1893-1969) represented Michigan in the U.S. House (1931-1957), rising to chairmanship of the Banking and Currency Committee. Appointed by President Eisenhower to the board of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in 1958, he served as its chairman until 1964. Mailing fold at center. Fine condition.
