Price: $360.00
MARJORIE REYNOLDS
1944 publicity photo for Paramount, the year she starred in the
studio's Ministry of Fear
Photograph inscribed and signed: "All good wishes to/George
Sanders -/Marjorie Reynolds". B/w, 7½x10. Captioned in lower margin. A child
actress under her birth name of Marjorie Goodspeed, Reynolds (1917-1997) began
her adult film career as a Western heroine opposite Tex Ritter, Roy Rogers and
Tim Holt. She proved herself in very different fare as the lead female star of
Holiday Inn (1942). She had a powerful role opposite Ray Milland in Fritz
Lang's Ministry of Fear (1944). Fans of 1950s television will remember
her as Peg, the wife of William Bendix on The Life of Riley (1953-1958).
Reynolds can be seen at the Twelve Oaks barbeque in Gone with the Wind
(1939). Her inscription here is to George Sanders, a West Coast TV and radio
interview host. Corners lightly creased. Otherwise, fine
condition.
