Inscribed photograph signed: "For Robert Rubin -/ Mark Goodson/
NY/ 1983" in black ink. Color, 8x10. In 1946, five years after Mark
Goodson (1915-1992) teamed up with producer Bill Todman in New York, they
sold their first game show, Winner Take All, to a radio station;
it became the first Goodson and Todman show to be televised, debuting on CBS on
July 8, 1948. Before Todman's death in 1979, the duo had launched such
successful shows as What's My Line? (1950), I've Got A Secret
(1952), The Price is Right (1956), To Tell the Truth (1956),
Concentration (1958) and Password (1962).Goodson, who won
an Emmy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1990, was posthumously inducted
into the Hall of Fame of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 1993.
