Johnson (b.1957) played in the NHL for thirteen seasons between 1979 and
1990. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1979, Johnson played for several
teams during his time in the NHL, including the Minnesota North Stars, Hartford
Whalers, St. Louis Blues and the New Jersey Devils. Johnson is a 1984 NHL
All-Star, and a Gold Medalist in the famous "Miracle on Ice" 1980 Olympic Games
when the United States defeated the Soviet Union. From 1996 to 2002, Johnson
worked as the assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin-Madison men's
hockey team before becoming the head coach for the Madison Badger's women's
hockey team. As their head coach, Johnson led the women's Badgers to four
national championships (2006, 2007, 2009, and 2011). Johnson also was named the
head coach of the USA women's Olympic hockey team, leading the team to a silver
medal in the 2010 winter Olympic games. In the NHL, Johnson played 669
games, scoring 203 goals and earning 305 assists. Toned. Ink note in unknown
