"Too Sharp" Johnson was born on August 13, 1971 in Washington, D.C. A fast
and skilled southpaw, he defeated Francisco Tejedor and won the
IBF Flyweight title in 1996. In 1999, he won the Junior Bantamweight
Title and held it until 2001, losing it in a 10 round bout against Rafael
Marquez. In his 49 fights, he had a record of 44-5 with 28 wins by knockouts and
was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2012.
