Picturegoer of London, England, with credit on verso. Swedish actress Torén
(1926-1957) spent much of her career playing almost everything but a
Swede. She moved to Hollywood after making three uncredited appearances in her
native Swede and found herself in exotic starring roles in the late 1940s and
1950s, including opposite Dick Powell in Rogue's Regiment (1948) and
Humphrey Bogart in Sirocco (1951). The last films of her career, which
was cut short when she died of a brain hemorrhage in 1957, were in
foreign-language European productions. In all, Torén had 21 movie appearances
between 1942 and 1957. Lightly bowed. Pen skipped while writing signature, which
is legible. Lightly rounded and creased corners. Otherwise in fine
condition.
