in blue ink. B/w, 10x8 overall, 9¼x7¼ image, one surface. Martha Hyer
(1924-2014) made her first film, Thunder Mountain, in 1947. She
earned an Oscar nomination as a teacher smitten with Frank Sinatra in Some
Came Running (1958). Other prominent roles included Battle Hymn
(1956) and The Carpetbaggers (1964). She made many TV appearances,
including multiple episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. She was also a
screenwriter on Rooster Cogburn (1975), the last film produced by Hal
Wallis (to whom she was married from 1966 until his death in 1986). Lightly
toned, cracked, creased and bowed. Light chipping in left edge. Rough right and
left edges. Negative and reproduction errors in image. Light scratches and
impressions and horizontal striations in image (not visible head-on). Otherwise
in fine condition.
