Signature: "Martha/Tilton", in black ink, 5¼x4½. Affixed are two unsigned newspaper photographs. Martha Tilton (1915-2006) was a talented big band singer with the Benny Goodman orchestra. She had singing roles in several films of the 1940s and The Benny Goodman Story (1955). Her best known song, "And the Angels Sing", was recorded with the Goodman Orchestra in 1939. Heavy surface creases. Top right corner creased. Lightly toned on top and bottom margins. Magazine clipping affixed on verso. Slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
