MARTIN LANDAU and BARBARA BAIN Husband-and-wife actors Martin Landau and Barbara Bain signed this document in 1968, which modified the escrow arrangements on an unspecified piece of property that they sold. Document signed "Martin James Landau" and "Barbara Bain Landau" as Sellers and initialed "BBL" by date, all in blue ink. Also signed by two purchasers in blue and black ink. 1 page, 8½x11. July 19, 1968. This document modified the escrow arrangements on an unspecified piece of property that Landau and Bain were selling. The two starred as Rollin Hand and Cinnamon Carter in Mission: Impossible in 1968, performances that earned both Emmy Award nominations. Actor MARTIN LANDAU (1928-2017) was a cartoonist and illustrator before making his off-Broadway stage debut in 1951. For his portrayal of Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood (1994), he won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Other film credits include North by Northwest (1959), Cleopatra (1963), Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), and Rounders (1998). Landau starred in the hit television show Mission: Impossible from 1966 to 1969 in an ensemble cast which included his wife Barbara Bain (winner of three consecutive Emmys for her role). Landau and Bain would team up again in another series, Space: 1999 (1975-1978). BAIN, born Millicent Fogel in Chicago, Illinois in 1931, has over 60 TV shows and movies to her credit, but is probably best known for her role as secret agent Cinnamon Carter in Mission: Impossible (1966-1969). She won Emmies in three consecutive years (1967-1969) for her work on Mission: Impossible. Bain starred in Mission: Impossible with husband Martin Landau, whom she met at New York's Actors Studio and Neighborhood Playhouse in 1956. Bain and Landau were married from 1957 to 1993. Science fiction fans probably know Bain from her role as Helena Russel, also opposite Landau, in Space: 1999 (1975-1978). Lightly toned and creased. Top left corner is missing. Folded twice and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
