DEAN MARTIN and JERRY LEWIS The comedy duo commits to an appearance on The Milton Berle Show. Document signed: "Dean Martin", "Jerry Lewis", 3p, 8½x11. Hollywood, California, 1955 December 8. Signed on p3. Agreement between York Pictures Corp. and NBC for a 10-minute appearance of Martin and Lewis on TV broadcast of The Milton Berle Show on December 20, to be filmed at NBC's Burbank studio. Martin and Lewis commit to have "dry rehearsed" their performance prior to the camera rehearsal. The agreement, which includes $50,000 compensation to Martin and Lewis, also defines future rights to the film of the broadcast. After meeting in Atlantic City in 1946, singer MARTIN (1917-1995) and comedian LEWIS (1926-) formed a partnership. With Martin singing and Lewis clowning, the team enjoyed enormous popularity in live performances, on television and in 16 films before they broke up in 1956. Each pursued a successful career thereafter, Martin as a singer, actor, TV host and nightclub entertainer; Lewis as a comedian and the host of muscular dystrophy telethons. Lightly toned. Staple and binder holes at top. Otherwise, fine condition. Previously authenticated by PSA/DNA.
