Still from the 1995 film, The American President, in which Sheen co-starred as A.J. MacInerney opposite Michael Douglas, who played President Andrew Shepherd. Actor Martin Sheen, born Ramon Gerard Antonio Estevez in 1940, has appeared in a wide variety of films, most notably Apocalypse Now (1979), Gandhi (1982), Wall Street (1987), The American President (1995) and Monument Ave. (1998). He won an Emmy Award for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series (Murphy Brown, 1994), and Sheen has won a Golden Globe (2001) and three Screen Actors Guild Awards (2000, 2001, 2002) for his role as President Josiah "Jed" Bartlet on the TV series, The West Wing (1999-2006). Sheen was also nominated for Emmy Awards (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006), additional Golden Globes (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004) and SAG Awards (both as part of the ensemble cast and as a lead actor), and he won an ALMA Award in 2001 (also nominated in 2000 and 2002). In the year the series ended, Sheen was seen on the big screen in Border Town, Bobby and The Departed. He is the father of actors Charlie Sheen, Emilio Estevez, Ramon Estevez and Renee Estevez. Slightly creased and soiled at blank margins. Minor surface scratches, light postal impressions at upper portion (circular impression at forehead of facial image). Overall, fine condition.
