News analyst and author, Marvin Kalb (born 1930) spent 30 years as a reporter with CBS and NBC. While at NBC, he was chief Diplomatic Correspondent and host of Meet the Press (1984-1987). He currently serves as director at the Joan Shorenstein Center on Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, is an analyst for the Fox News Channel and hosts The Kalb Report, a monthly discussion of media ethics and responsibility at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. He has authored or coauthored 9 nonfiction books. His awards include 2 Peabody Awards, the 2006 National Press Club Fourth Estate Award, the DuPont Prize from Columbia University and numerous Overseas Press Club awards. Bernard Kalb (1922-2023) is a journalist, media critic, author and lecturer. For more than 30 years, he covered international affairs for CBS, NBC and The New York Times, based abroad in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Saigon and Paris over half of the time. He won an Overseas Press Club Award in 1968 for a documentary on the Viet Cong. Bernard and Marvin traveled with Henry Kissinger diplomatic missions and wrote his biography titled Kissinger. Bernard was appointed and served as spokesman for the State Department (1984) during the Reagan administration. He was a panelist and founding anchor on Reliable Sources, the CNN weekly program.
