Check no. 12940 for $700 made out to Kaplan and drawn on the Los Angeles AFTRA Credit Union's Bank of America account in Hollywood, California. Among Kaplan's 1968 appearances was fourth-billing as Ethel in an unsold TV pilot: Out of the Blue. Marvin Kaplan (1927-2016) played a hapless court stenographer in the 1949 Hepburn-Tracy film Adam's Rib, and later was Henry, a regular customer at Mel's Diner in the television sitcom, Alice (1976-1985). More recently he appeared in Becker (1998-2004), Dark and Stormy Night (2009), and the short Autism and Cake (2012). Kaplan also found work as a voice-over actor, lending his talented to various animated movies and series throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Lightly toned. Faint crease at upper left-hand corner.
