MARY ANN MOBLEY The actress who was named Miss America 1959 signed this index card in ink Inscribed Signature: "To Joe / Mary Ann Mobley". 5x3 index card. One of the few Miss Americas (1959) to find success after winning the title, singer and actress Mary Ann Mobley (1937-2014) appeared in feature films and made-for-TV movies, was a regular on several TV series and made guest appearances on a number of TV shows. For her early production Get Yourself a College Girl (1964), Mobley won the Golden Globe for New Star of the Year - Female. She went on to star in two films with Elvis Presley (Girl Happy and Harum Scarum, both 1965). Her other film credits include For Singles Only (1968) and The Legend of Custer (1968). She earned recurring roles on General Hospital (1963-Present) and Diff'rent Strokes (1978-1986) and Falcon Crest (1981-1990). Mobley was frequently seen on game shows like The New Hollywood Squares (from 1987-1989). She was married to actor/talk show host Gary Collins for over 40 years until his death in 2012. Their only child, daughter Mary Clancy Collins, became a television executive. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
