MARY HARA
The actress sends a requested photograph to John Willis, Editor of Theatre World
Autograph letter signed: "Mary Hara", in black ink, 1 page, 7¼x10½. November 8, 1974. In full: "Dear Mr. Willis - Last year you asked for a new photograph for your files. I've finally had a new picture taken, and I also enclose a resume with most recent works underscored [items not included]. Sincerely". Mary Hara is a Broadway actress appearing in What Every Woman Knows (1954), The Crucible (1964), and Strange Interlude (1985). John A. Willis (1916-2010), active in Theatre World from the beginning, became its chief editor in 1965, holding that position until 2008. Willis is regarded as one of the foremost theatre and film historians of the 20th century. While producing (and presenting) the annual Theatre World Awards, Willis also served on the nominating committee for the Tony Awards. Theatre World, which received its own Tony for Excellence in Theatre in 2001, continues under chief editor Ben Hodges. Surface creases. Corners slightly worn and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
