margin. Irish singer and harpist Mary O'Hara (b. 1935) released 28 record albums between
1957 (Songs of Erin) and 2000 (Mary O'Hara at Carnegie Hall). Her music inspired a
generation of Irish folk musicians. Widowed in the late 1950s, O'Hara became a
Benedictine nun in 1962, but left the order for health reasons in 1974 to discover that her
music was more popular than ever. Although she no longer performs musically, O'Hara
remains in demand as a guest speaker. Her autobiography is titled A Scent of Roses. Fine
condition.
