Treen's mother once performed under the stage name of Helene Sullivan. Character actress Mary Treen (1907-1989) began her career in show business by dancing in vaudeville shows and reviews before she was signed to a Warner Bros. contract in 1934 after being seen in a local play. From the 1930s until the 1970s, Treen appeared in dozens of films, including Kentucky Moonshine (1938), Kitty Foyle (1940), So Proudly We Hail! (1943), I Love a Soldier (1944), Don Juan Quilligan (1945), It's a Wonderful Life (1946, as Jimmy Stewart's cousin, Tilly), The Fuller Brush Girl (1950), The Joker is Wild (1957), The Sad Sack (1957) and Fun in Acapulco (1963). Equally prolific on the small screen, Treen had regular roles on two tv series, Willy (1954-1955) and The Joey Bishop Show as Hilda, the maid (1962-1965), and she guest starred on numerous TV series. Lightly creased and soiled at blank margins and corners, lightly soiled on verso. Fine condition.
