Many photographs, essays on these and other stars of the series, episode guide, and chronology of awards and nominations. The inscriptions are to Frank Neill, one of the show's producers. Inspired by the hit 1970 movie of the same name, but evolving a gentler form of humor than the film, M*A*S*H was set in a forward army hospital during the Korean War and ran on CBS from 1972-1983. Its final episode remains the most watched show in TV history, with an estimated 50 million viewers. ALDA ("Hawkeye Pierce"), CHRISTOPHER ("Father Mulcahy"), FARR ("Corporal Klinger") and SWIT ("Major Houlihan") were with the hit series from beginning to end. MORGAN ("Colonel Potter") the new commanding officer, joined the unit in 1975, as did FARRELL ("B. J. Hunnicut"). STIERS (Charles Winchester III) joined the cast in 1977. Covers and endpapers slightly soiled. Edge wear to dust jacket. One-half-inch tear at right of lower edge on second signature page. Otherwise, fine condition.
