8x10. In the 1988 film Biloxi Blues Matthew Broderick plays playwright Neil Simon's
younger self in boot camp near the end of World War II. Matthew Broderick (b. 1962)
found success on Broadway before making his film debut in WarGames in 1983, which
happened to be same year he won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for
Brighton Beach Memoirs. He also happened to win the Theatre World Award for the
previously mentioned performance. Broderick would go on to win another Tony in 1985
for How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and be nominated in 2001 for
The Producers. Known for his boyish good looks, Broderick became a bona fide film star
thanks to Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), and he has since appeared in films such as Glory
(1989), The Lion King (1994), Inspector Gadget (1999), and You Can Count on Me (2000).
He has been married to actress Sarah Jessica Parker since 1997. Lightly bowed. Otherwise,
