Autograph Letter signed: "Maureen (O'S)", 9½x5¾ card. London, no date. To "Dear Lee [illegible]". In full: "Thank you for giving such a good evening. (If I seemed peculiar, forgive me as [two words illegible] that I'd had a very peculiar day, so being with you was a big help.) I'm off to [illegible] for a month to do a play. I will be back on May 17th. I hope to see you there & heat while - well I really feel excited when I think of what you are doing. Lots of love & I'll call Lless to do [illegible]-" Irish actress O'Sullivan (1911-1998) starred in such films as A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1931), The Barretts of Wimpole Street (1934), David Copperfield (1935), A Day at the Races (1937) and Pride and Prejudice (1941). She played Jane to Johnny Weissmuller's Tarzan in six films (1932-1942), creating quite a sensation with her scanty apparel and nude swimming scene in Tarzan and His Mate (1934). Married to director John Farrow until his death in 1963, she is the mother of actresses Mia and Tisa Farrow. She portrayed Mia's mom on film in Hannah and Her Sisters (1986). A frequent TV guest star in the 1950s, she co-anchored Today (1964-1965). Slightly soiled. Fine condition.
