Autograph sentiment signed: "Best Wishes/Maurice Kaufmann", in

Handsome British actor Maurice Kaufmann (1927-1997) was known for his
roles in several horror films and whodunnits, first beginning with a minor role
in the television series How Does It End? (1952). He continued to
appear in television for several years, having his first major film role in
A Shot in the Dark (1964), and later appearing in movies such as
Die! Die! My Darling (1965), The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971),
and The Hero (1971). Kaufmann was married to actress Honor
Blackman, appearing together in the film Fright (1971), and
divorcing in 1975. Despite their divorce, Blackman and Kaufmann remained close,
with Blackmann helping nurse Kaufmann back to health when he began
suffering from cancer in the 1990's. Sadly, Kaufmann succumbed to the illness in
1997. Irregularly cut. Heavily toned. Corners and edges lightly worn. Bottom
right corner lightly creased. Light surface creases. Faint pencil markings
across "wishes". Otherwise, fine condition.
