Autograph letter signed "Maurice Roëves" in blue ink. 1 page, 5½x8½, on Roëves' personalized stationery. Sherman Oaks, California, Oct. 9, 1984. In full: "Dear Todd Axelrod Hope that the contents will be enough memorabilia for your purpose? Not have visit [sic] Las Vegas yet, I look forward, as a future American citizen, in doing so! All my very best wishes, & Thank You for asking.". Lightlytoned and creased. Paper clip impression in upper left corner. Otherwise in fine condition. Accompanied by: Unsigned1-page biography of Roëves by Television South West Limited of Plymouth, Devon, England. Lightly toned and creased. Staple holes in upper left corner. Otherwise in fine condition. Roëves, born in Sunderland, County Durham, England in 1937, is a Scottish actor with almost 100 movies and TV shows to his credit, as of this biography, since 1966. Most of his appearances have been on TV, including a recurring role in the British series Danger UXB (1979) as Sgt. James and in Tutti Frutti (1987). Science fiction fans may recognize him from his appearance as Stotz in the 1984 Doctor Who serial The Caves of Androzani and as a Romulan captain in the 1993 Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Chase. Roëves has also appeared on the stage as MacDuff, opposite Sir Alec Guinness, in Macbeth, as Iago in Othello and as Robert Burns in the one-man play There Was a Man.
