Signature: "Maurice Rosenfield", in blue ink, 9¾x2. Once a lawyer for Playboy during it's earliest years, Maurice Rosenfield (1914-2005) became a successful stage and film producer, beginning with his establishment of Rosenfield Productions with his wife, Lois, in 1972. Their first film effort, Bang the Drum Slowly, helped introduce a young Robert De Niro to a wider audience, and was nominated for an Oscar for co-star Vincent Gardenia's performance. Though Rosenfield would producer one more film in 1983, he found more success on stage, producing several Broadway plays from 1979 to 1993. Two of his plays, Barnum (1980) and The Song of Jacob Zhu (1993), were nominated for Tonys. Toned. Left edge creased and frayed. Small tear in top right corner. Slight creases. Ink notes (unknown hand). Otherwise, fine condition.
