Baer won the World Heavyweight Boxing crown from Primo Carnero (June, 1934) and lost it one year later to Jim Braddock. Baer (1909-1959) had previously defeated German heavyweight Max Schmeling, but he later lost to Joe Louis.

Baer (1909-1959) had previously defeated German heavyweight Max Schmeling, but he later lost to Joe Louis. Baer also starred in films, from The Prizefighter and the Lady (1933) to Utah Blaine (1957). He was the father of actor Max Baer, Jr., of TV's Beverly Hillbillies. Slightly soiled. Mounting stain at lower tip of sheet. Otherwise, fine condition.
