Signed by two members of "Greenwich Village Playhouse, Inc." The works of the American playwright include Saturday's Children (1927), Elizabeth the Queen (1930), Mary of Scotland (1933) and Winterset, a poetic tragedy set in contemporary America, for which he won the very first New York Drama Critics Circle Award (1935). Bank cut cancellation at center touches 2 words of writing. Tape stains at upper blank margin, light transfer of Playhouse stamp there above date. Overall, fine condition.
