Comprises: (1) WALTER LANTZ. Photograph signed: "Walter Lantz". B/w, 4¼x5½. Fine condition. (2) MEL BLANC. Photograph inscribed and signed: "Hi Rod/Mel Blanc". Color, 3½x6½. Fine condition. WALTER LANTZ (1899-1994) introduced Woody Woodpecker in 1940. Blanc, who freelanced while working for Warner Bros., created Woody's unforgettable laugh. Lantz' wife, Gracie, who had secretly auditioned, took over as the voice of the raucous woodpecker in 1950. MEL BLANC (1908-1989), who created the voice of Bugs Bunny in 1940, also supplied voices for numerous other Warner Bros. characters. Two items.Framed in the Gallery of History style: 18½x23½.
