MEL GIBSON
Handsome matted publicity photograph for Lethal Weapon 3.
Photograph signed: "Mel Gibson/92". B/w, 8x10 overall, image 6x8¾ (one surface), matted to 12x14 in Gallery of History style. Publicity photograph for Lethal Weapon 3, in which Gibson starred as Martin Riggs. ©1992, Warner Bros. Inc. Captioned at lower margin: "Mel Gibson in 'Lethal Weapon 3'". In 1992, Gibson starred in two feature films, Lethal Weapon 3 and Forever Young. Born in the U.S., despite the Australian accent he acquired growing up "down under", Mel Gibson emerged as an action hero, first in the three Mad Max films (1979-1985) and four Lethal Weapon movies (1987-1998). He has proved himself in a wide variety of starring roles, including The Year of Living Dangerously (1982), Hamlet (in the title role, 1990), Maverick (1994), Braveheart (1995), What Women Want (2000) and Signs (2002). He debuted impressively as a director, winning a Best Director Academy Award for Braveheart. Gibson also wrote, produced and directed the controversial but powerful 2004 film, The Passion of the Christ. Encapsulated. Minor scratches and smudges on encapsulation material. Minor stains on mat. Fine and handsome.
