Photograph signed: "Mel/Renfro/HOF-96", Color 8x10. In the photograph Mel is shown at his induction ceremony into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Melvin Lacy Renfro was born on December 30, 1941. He spent his college years playing as a halfback and defensive back for the University of Oregon where he rushed for 1,532 yards and scored 141 points. He was drafted in the second round by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1964 NFL draft. Mel was selected for the Pro Bowl in each of his first ten seasons as a safety and as a cornerback. In his career he intercepted 52 passes for 626 yards. He was an exceptional special team's player taking back 109 punts for 842 yards and 85 kickoffs for 2,246 yards. He helped take Dallas to Super Bowl V, VI, X and XII and winning VI and XII. The Cowboys added his name to the Texas Stadium Ring of Honor in 1981 and in 1996 he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Fine condition.
