MELANIE GRIFFITH A signed color photograph of the actress as E. Johnson in Cherry 2000 Photograph signed: "All the best/Melanie Griffith", in black felt tip, Color 8x10. This candid photograph features the actress in a Western-style outfit that she wore in Cherry 2000 (1987). Actress Melanie Griffith (born in 1957) studied acting with Stella Adler and made a distinct impression in Brian DePalma's Body Double in 1984. Two years later, she received further notice for her role in Something Wild, a comedy that cast her as a free spirit opposite an uptight Jeff Daniels. The year 1988 was good for Griffith: she appeared in Robert Redford's The Milagro Beanfield War and then garnered a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her work in Mike Nichols' Working Girl. Later films included Buffalo Girls (1995), RKO 281 (1999), and Cecil B. Demented (2000). On television, Griffith had a recurring role as Lee Arnold on TV's Twins (2005-2006). She is the daughter of Tippi Hedren and Peter Griffith. From 1996 to 2014, she was married to Spanish actor Antonio Banderas. Griffith was previously married to actors Don Johnson (1972-1976, 1989-1996) and Steven Bauer (1981-1987). Her awards include two Golden Globe awards (five nominations), one Academy Award (one nomination), and a Primetime Emmy nomination. Lightly toned. Corners slightly worn and creased. Ink notes (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
