taken after Bettina lost the New York State Athletic Commission World
Light-Heavyweight title in 1939. As far as we can tell, he never got a shot at
the heavyweight title. Bettina (1916-1996) was an American
light-heavyweight boxer who was New York State Athletic Commission World
Light-Heavyweight champ in 1939. As an amateur, he won the 1934 Intercity
Golden Gloves championship. Bettina had a impressive career record of 82
wins, 14 losses and 3 draws, with 36 wins and 3 losses to knockout. Lightly
toned, and bowed. Pen dribbled while writing signature, which is lightly beaded
but legible. Light scratches on image. Otherwise in fine
condition.
