was directed by Henry Winkler and co-written by Crystal, was released in October
1988. The film starred Crystal as Abbie, King as his father, Abe, and Williams
as Lisa. BILLY CRYSTAL, who was doing stand-up comedy at age 16, made
his TV debut on Soap in 1977. After successful guest appearances on
Saturday Night Live, his film career took off. Among Crystal's hits,
mostly comedies, are The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met
Sally (1989), City Slickers (1991) and Analyze This (1999). A
longtime baseball fan, Crystal produced *61, a drama on Roger Maris'
pursuit of Babe Ruth's home rune record, for HBO in 2001. Crystal was also a hit
as emcee of the Academy Award ceremonies, with his famous Clinton jibe, "Didn't
Inhale!" JoBETH WILLIAMS' diverse career includes stage (A Coupla
White Chicks Sitting Around Talking, Broadway, 1980), daytime soap operas
(The Guiding Light, Somerset), television series (The
Client, 1995, in Susan Sarandon's film role; Frasier, 1993 and 1994),
roles in feature and television films and producing. After making her big screen
debut in 1979 in Kramer vs. Kramer, Williams appeared in a number
of feature films, including Poltergeist (1982) and its sequel,
Poltergeist 2: The Other Side (1986), The Big Chill (1983) and
Wyatt Earp (1994). Some of her best performances can be seen in
made-for-television movies, including The Day After (1983) and
Adam (1983), in which she portrayed Reve Walsh, the anguished mother
of the murdered title character. Williams has also lent her vocal talents to the
prime-time animated series, Fish Police (1982), and she co-produced the
Oscar-nominated documentary On Hope (1994). ALAN KING (1927-2004)
toured the U.S. and Great Britain, including a command performance before Queen
Elizabeth II, with Judy Garland's variety show, He published his first book of
jokes in 1962, and King continued appearing in clubs and hotels. King appeared
on Broadway in the late 1960s, then moved on to films in the 1980s and
1990s. His credits include Author! Author! (1982), Enemies: A Love
Story (1989), Bonfire of the Vanities (1990) and Casino
(1995). Slightly creased at blank margins. Minor surface creases (not evident
head on). Fine condition.
