Actress Meryl Streep (b. 1949) made her screen, Broadway, and Off-Broadway debuts in the mid-1970s and has earned dozens of major award nominations since then across all three industries. On stage, Streep more often performs Off-Broadway than on Broadway. She received an Obie Award in 1981 for Alice in Concert (1980-1981).
