Promotion for the 1982 film, Deathtrap, in which Caine starred as Broadway mystery writer Sidney Bruhl. He decides to end his "writer's block" in an inventive way - kill unknown writer Clifford Anderson (Christopher Reeve), who has written an inspired manuscript, and claim credit for the play. ©1982, Warner Bros. British actor Michael Caine, born Maurice Micklewhite in London in 1933, was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor for Alfie (1966), The Sleuth (1972), Educating Rita (1983) and The Quiet Man (2002) and won Oscars for Best Supporting Actor Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and The Cider House Rules (1999). His other impressive screen credits include Zulu (1964), The Ipcress File (1965), Gambit (1966), Get Carter (1971), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Dressed to Kill (1980), Mona Lisa (1986) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988). Caine, who was knighted in 1993, appeared in several anticipated films in 2005, including Batman Begins and Bewitched. Lightly creased at blank corners and margins. Minor surface creases and fingerprint smudges (not evident head on). Fine condition.
