MICHAEL RUPERT The stage and screen actor who dabbles in music signed this index card Autograph Note Signed: “For Joe/ Best Always!/ Michael/ Rupert”. 5x3 index card. Singer, actor, writer, and composer Michael Rupert (b. 1951) earned a Tony nomination for Happy Time (1968), while still in high school. He created the role of "Marvin" in William Finn's musicals March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland, and won a Tony (Best Featured Actor in a Musical) for a revival of Sweet Charity (1986). He composed the music for Mail (1968), and also acted in it. In Legally Blonde (2007), he originated the role of Professor Callahan. Rupert has an impressive resume of Off-Broadway and regional stage performances, in addition to TV guest roles in shows like The Waltons (1971-1981) and Emergency! (1972-1979). He wrote the music for the Drama Desk Award-winning 3 Guys Naked from the Waist Down. His first music single, "Racing to the Moon", was released on the Footlight label in 2008. Lightly toned.
