The Hollywood leading man signs his name and best wishes in blue ink
Autograph sentiment signed: "Best wishes/Michael Wilding", 4x2½. British stage and screen actor Michael Wilding (1912-1979) appeared in a number of feature films, including The Farmer's Wife (1941), In Which We Serve (1942), Piccadilly Incident (1948), The World of Suzie Wong (1960) and Waterloo (1984). He is perhaps best known, however, for being the second husband of actress Elizabeth Taylor (Taylor was Wilding's third wife) from 1952 until their divorce in 1957; the couple had two children. Wilding's fourth wife was actress Margaret Leighton, to whom he was wed from 1964 until her death in 1976. Lightly stained at lower right margin, touching the descender of the "g" of Wilding. Ink smudge near the "cha" of Michael. Fine condition.
