MICHELE LEE. Postcard Photograph inscribed and signed: "Emil,/Thank you/so very much!/Michele Lee". B/w, 4¼x5½. Addressed on verso in an unknown hand to Emil Uhor, Follansbee, West Virginia, postmarked Los Angeles, California, July 5, 1985. Born Michele Dusiak in 1942, singer/actress Michele Lee is perhaps best known for her Emmy-nominated role as Karen Fairgate McKenzie on Knot's Landing (beginning in 1979). In addition to her television success, Lee was also a Broadway performer, appearing in 1962's How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (she reprised her role as Rosemary Pilkington in the 1967 film version) and receiving a Tony nomination for the 1973 musical Seesaw. Lee, who has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV films, has also starred in such feature films as The Love Bug (1968) and The Comic (1969). The wife of actor James Farentino from 1966-1983, Lee had been married to television producer Frank Rappoport since 1987. Lightly worn at edges. Haloing from ink note on verso (unknown hand) shows through at right background. Otherwise, fine condition.
