The former Mamas and Papas singer agrees to star in a TV special from Las Vegas.
Document signed: "Michelle Phillips, 1p, 8½x14. No place, 1978 September 15. Phillips signs an agreement with Command Performance Productions, Inc. to star as Principal Performer in a program titled Circus of the Stars, sponsored by Procter and Gamble, to be broadcast from Las Vegas on September 25, 1970. She will receive $6,000 plus a 10% commission for her performance. Terms and conditions of a standard AFTRA contract printed on verso. Michelle Phillips and her then husband John Phillips formed part of the highly successful rock quartet The Mamas and Papas (1965-1971), source of such late 1960s hits as "California Dreamin'" and "Monday, Monday". After the group (as well as Michelle and John) broke up, Michelle chose to pursue an acting career. She received a Golden Globe award as new female actress of the year for Dillinger (1973). She became a regular on TV's Knot's Landing (1987-1991), singing "This Is Dedicated to the One I Love", one of the big hits of the Mamas and Papas, in one episode. Staple holes at top. Light edge wear. Bold horizontal fold near bottom edge. Overall, fine condition.
