MICHELLE MEYER
The actress writes to Broadway producer Charles Forsythe asking to be
in his new play, signs name in blue ink
Autograph letter signed: "Michelle" in blue ink. 2 pages,
8½x11. Written on Stage West letterhead. West Springfield, Massachusetts. March
7, 1973. Addressed to Broadway producer Charles Forsythe in New York City, New
York. In full: "Dear Charley - Eloise Aumen told me you would be doing
some packages this summer and I'm thinking wouldn't it be marvelous if you had
something lovely for me. Eloise saw "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man In The Moon
Marigolds" in which I played Beatrice. Now I'm doing Miss Prism (?!) in "The
Importance Of Being Earnest" and rehearsing "Old Times" which opens next week
& runs thru April 7. I'm playing Anna (the role Rosemary Harris played) and
am finding it fascinating. I haven't played Pinter before and I do hope it comes
off as an exciting production & will be as interesting as the rehearsals
indicate. I'm also doing the next & last show of the season here,
"Butterflies Are Fine" which closes May 6. I go into New York every Monday so
perhaps I can call you & talk to you. When did I talk to you last? Las fall
or late summer, I think. Trying to see you soon. With Fondest Regards".
