MICHELLE PFEIFER
The Oscar-nominated actress signs an agreement to appear on the Today show.
Partly Printed DS: "Michelle Pfeifer", 1p, 8½x11. No place, but probably New York City, 1992 June 4. Headed: "Statement Pursuant to Section 507 of the/Communications Act of 1934 - Guest". Three paragraphs relating to the NBC policy prohibiting payments for arranging personal appearances and accepting anything of value to promote a product, service or venture on the air. Name, date and name of show ("Today") filled in (unknown hand) at lower portion. In 1992, Pfeifer was seen in two films, Batman Returns and Love Field, for which she was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar. After starting out in television guest appearances and commercials, Michelle Pfeiffer (born in 1958) proved she could hold her own opposite heavyweights that included Jack Nicholson in The Witches of Eastwick (1987), Robert Redford in Up Close and Personal (1996) and George Clooney in One Fine Day (1996). Her characters range from sex pots (Susie Diamond in The Fabulous Baker Boys, 1989, for which she did her own vocals) to the farmer's daughter (A Thousand Acres, 1996), to a werewolf (Wolf, 1994) and a Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992). Pfeiffer has been nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award twice (The Fabulous Baker Boys, 1989; Love Field, 1992), and she was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Dangerous Liasons (1988). Slightly creased. Fine condition.
