MIDDLE AGE CRAZY MOVIE CAST: ANN-MARGRET and BRUCE DERN
Shown together in promotional still for the 1980 film
Photograph signed: "Best Wishes,/Ann-Margret", "Thanks -/Bruce Dern". B/w, 10x8. Movie still from Middle Age Crazy (1980), captioned in lower margin. Bruce Dern shows questionable judgment in leaving loving spouse Ann-Margret for a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader in this film portrayal of a mid-life crisis. An actress who can also sing and dance, ANN-MARGRET, born Ann-Margret Olson in Valsjöbyn, Jämtlands län, Sweden in 1941,graced the screen in such films as Bye, Bye Birdie (1963), Viva Las Vegas (1964), The Cincinnati Kid (1965), and scored Oscar nominations for Carnal Knowledge (1971) and Tommy (1975). She earned a Golden Globe award as Best Actress in a TV movie for A Streetcar Named Desire (1984). After five prior Emmy nominations, she won the award for a guest appearance on Law & Order: SVU in 2010. BRUCE DERN, born in 1936, the father of actress Laura Dern, earned an Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actor for Coming Home (1978). His distinguished film roles include Silent Running (1971), That Championship Season (1982) and Last Man Standing (1996). A frequent TV guest star, and a Hitchcock favorite as such, Dern had a series of his own, Stoney Burke (1962-1963). He also can lay claim to a feat accomplished by few other actors: gunning down John Wayne (The Cowboys, 1972). Fine condition.
