Signature: “Mike/ Allison” in black felt tip, 5x3. Mike Allison (b. 1961) is a former NHL forward. After playing two seasons in the OHL for the Sudbury Wolves, Allison was selected by the New York Rangers in the second round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. Allison's first season in the NHL turned out to be his best; in the 75 games he played, Allison scored 26 goals and made 38 assists for a total of 64 points. He also recorded a hat trick against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Allison would go on to play for the Maple Leafs as well as the Los Angeles Kings during the course of a ten-year playing career that lasted from 1980 to 1990. After retiring from playing, Allison was an assistant coach at Bemidji State. In addition, he was a color commentator for LA Kings' radio broadcasts and has also worked with the Kings' youth hockey camp.
