Autograph note signed: "To - George/Kindest regards,/Mike Douglas/1-11-78", 7¾x5¼. Captioned magazine photograph, b/w, 1x2 overall, image 1x1½ (one surface), affixed at lower right corner. Ink note (unknown hand) at left margin: "Network TV Host of 'The Mike Douglas Show'". The host of daytime TV's The Mike Douglas Show, which began in Cleveland (1961) and entered national syndication two years later, Mike Douglas welcomed guests as varied as the Rolling Stones and Richard Nixon, but had an emphasis on entertainers. Douglas' popularity with housewives earned him the nickname "the coffee break Cary Grant". The show ended its long run in 1981. Irregular left edge where sheet was removed from a book. Mounting paper remnants on verso show through faintly in blank areas. Overall, fine condition.
