The host of daytime TV's The Mike Douglas Show, which began in Cleveland (1961) and entered national syndication two years later, Mike Douglas (1925-2006) welcomed guests as varied as the Rolling Stones and Richard Nixon, but had an emphasis on entertainers. Douglas' popularity with housewives earned him the nickname "the coffee break Cary Grant". The show ended its long run in 1981. Tommy Hutton, shown here auditioning with Douglas, played outfield and first base with four Major League teams between 1966 and 1981. Since leaving the field he has been a baseball broadcaster. Lightly worn. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
