Mike Rogers (b. 1954) is a retired hockey center who played in both the
WHA and the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers, New England Whalers, Hartford
Whalers and the New York Rangers from 1974 through 1986. Rogers played seven
seasons in the WHA before the Hartford Whalers drafted him in 1979. He is best
known for his performance on the New York Rangers, where he scored over 100
points during his first season. In 1974 he won the WHA's Paul Deneau Trophy, and
Rogers also made the 1981 All-Star team. Currently he is a color
commentator for the Calgary Flames. In the NHL, Rogers played 484 games,
scoring 202 goals and earning 317 assists. Edges irregular. Printed stats on
verso of fellow Whalers player (not Rogers). Otherwise, fine
condition.
