A Playbill for Metamorphosis, signed by it's star
Playbill signed: "M. Baryshnikov", on the cover, 92p, 5½x8½. Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis, Ethel Barrymore Theatre, New York City, Opening Night: March 6, 1989. Metamorphosis, a play directed by Stephen Berkoff and adapted by Berkoff from a story by Kafka, opened on Broadway on March 6, 1989, closing on July 1, 1989 after 96 performances. Baryshnikov was nominated for a Tony for Best Actor in a Play for his role as Gregor in the play. He had been the featured soloist of Leningrad's Kirov Company, defected to the U.S. in 1974, joined the American Ballet and then moved to the New York City Ballet. Two pinhead-size stains on cover not touching signature. Fine condition.
