Music commentator MILTON CROSS (1897-1975) did just about anything a radio announcer could do: he sang, read short stories and poetry to grownups, bedtime stories to kiddies, introduced programs and did station IDs. Cross later hosted Saturday afternoon Metropolitan Opera broadcasts. He began working at WJZ radio's original Newark studio in 1921 starting a career that would last his life. ANNA SOSENKO (1909-2000) produced The Raleigh Room radio show, sponsored by Raleigh cigarettes and hosted by the entertainer Hildegarde. The show's theme song, "Darling Je Vous Aime Beaucoup", was written by Sosenko, who was also Hildegarde's manager. Lightly creased, folds (not touching signature), nicked at lower right blank margin. Fine condition.
