is an Italian pop and opera singer whose attitude toward existing social
norms made her the subject of controversy in her native country. As a pop
singer who was most popular at the height of the feminist movement, Mina's
status as a provocative figure in the conservative country of Italy made her an
international star. Her “bad girl” image was reinforced when she began an
affair with still-married (although separated) actor Corrado Pani in 1962.
They had a child together in 1963. Her dozens of albums include Studio Uno
(1965), Mina (1971), and Si, buana (1986). Mina has a wide vocal range and
frequently appeared on late night television when she was most popular. Lightly
toned. Light smudging. Otherwise, fine condition.
